Jiquanda Nelson & Justin Magouirk Crowe bring experience & community focus to WDC Board

The Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County (WDC) is proud to announce the addition of two new members to the WDC Board: Justin Magouirk Crowe and Jiquanda Nelson. We are excited for Jiquanda and Justin to bring the full range of their extensive experience and community focus to the important work of the WDC Board and committees. Justin Magouirk Crowe

Providence

Justin Magouirk Crowe serves as the SVP, Community Partnerships for Providence. In this role he oversees Community Health Investment, the St. Joseph Community Partnership Fund, Global and Domestic Programs, the Providence education strategy, as well as the University of Providence in Great Falls, MT, Providence High School in Burbank, CA, and St. Thomas Child & Family Center in Great Falls, MT. His work is focused on aligning the influence of Providence to create stronger communities, raise awareness, and illuminate a pathway that inspires all to serve.

Justin previously served as the VP, Education Programs & Partnerships, and the COO for Providence nursing. He received his PhD from the University of Michigan and bachelor’s degree from Carleton College. He lives in Kenmore with his wife and three kids (ages 10, 7, and 3) and enjoys hiking and single origin coffee.

 

Jiquanda Nelson

ConcentriX

Jiquanda Nelson serves as Senior Director, Global Community and Culture for Concentrix, where she leads a diverse team charged with providing an inclusive workplace and attracting and hiring diverse talent from many backgrounds. Part of her role includes partnering with under-invested communities and creating access to jobs opportunities, empowering communities through economic development. 

Jiquanda previously served as Director, Equity, Inclusion & Diversity and Workforce Development for Kaiser Permanente Washington. Her team led the first major outcome of Governor Inslee's Career Connect Washington initiative, launching the Medical Assistant Apprenticeship—in partnership with the Washington State Healthcare Consortium, the first ever multi-employer, multi-labor state-wide healthcare consortium in the nation. Her work building Kaiser’s health and workforce equity strategy earned her a 40 under 40 award from the Puget Sound Business Journal. Jiquanda has a Master of Art in Clinical Psychology. She volunteers on the boards of several local organizations, including Seattle Jobs Initiative, College Success Foundation Tacoma, and West Sound STEM. She lives in Edgewood with her husband Brian and three children, Johanny, 13; Mikey, 9; and Brianna, 7.
