The Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County (WDC) is proud to announce that CEO Marléna Sessions has joined the National Association of Veteran Serving Organizations (NAVSO) Board of Directors.

“We are excited to welcome Marléna Sessions, CEO of Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County, to the NAVSO Board of Directors. Since becoming the CEO in 2009, Marléna's tireless efforts resulted in the Working for America Institute naming her organization one of the top four workforce boards in the U.S,” says NAVSO CEO, Chris Ford. “She has been a tremendous advocate for veterans in and around her local community and now serves as part of the NAVSO team striving to achieve results around the nation.”

NAVSO answers the call for a national collaborative association for the Nation’s 40,000+ veteran-/military-serving organizations by serving as a trusted, neutral convener, and working to make services for veteran and military families more effective and efficient. NAVSO empowers service providers, stakeholders, and advocates with web-based tools, best practice sharing, and resources to ensure collective successes as they respond to the evolving needs of veterans and military families.
