POLICY REVISION RELEASED FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

PUBLIC COMMENT DUE BY JUNE 16, 2018

REVISED – Customized Training, Policy No. 01-2002 (V.3)

The policy revision includes criteria for approval of employers to participate in customized training and eligible occupational/ industry sectors, and has been updated to reference current ESD labor market information for in-demand occupations and projected growth sectors. The On-The-Job (OJT) training provisions are removed, in anticipation of a new and separate OJT policy to be released by the WDC later this year. Prior local policy determination that an employer will pay 50% of costs for customized training is maintained, as is the previous determination that the WDC does not allow for customized training involving employers located outside of Washington State. Please submit comments to operations@seakingwdc.org by June 16, 2018.
