Tools & Resources

Self-Sufficiency Calculator

Planning for a stable career takes more than just picking a job—it means understanding what you need to earn to support yourself and your family. The Self-Sufficiency Calculator helps you explore real-life costs of living in our region and compare them with wages across different jobs and industries. Use this tool to see where you are now, explore career options, and plan your next steps with confidence.

Digital Equity Asset Map

Need help with internet access, devices, or digital skills? The Digital Equity Asset Map connects you to local organizations offering free or low-cost tech support, classes, and resources across King County. Many programs serve BIPOC communities and are led by trusted, community-based partners. Use filters to find services in your area and in your language.

Map Your Career (Data Under Update)

Map Your Career is an easy-to-use guide that shows which industries are growing in Seattle-King County and what kinds of jobs they offer. While some of the data is out of date, the tool remains a helpful starting point to explore career pathways in fields like healthcare, construction, and technology. We’re working with partners to test a new youth-focused career navigation tool that will eventually replace Map Your Career with more up-to-date and interactive features.

Career Coach (Retired)

Career Coach was retired in May 2025. While this tool is no longer available, we’re actively developing the next generation of online career navigation resources. In the meantime, we recommend exploring the Self-Sufficiency Calculator, Map Your Career, and the Digital Equity Asset Map as alternative supports for career planning.

Talent Pipeline Application (Data Under Update)

The Talent Pipeline Application was designed to compare job supply and demand across industries in Seattle-King County, helping identify gaps and emerging needs. While the data is no longer current, the tool illustrates how workforce data can guide educators, employers, and planners. Future updates will integrate this functionality into a modernized career pathways platform currently in development.
