Lowering Employment Barriers
Overview
Although the WDC and WorkSource programs serve all kinds of jobseekers, we recognize that many people face specific barriers to finding and retaining employment, and especially to achieving self-sufficiency.
Older workers, the homeless, low-income working people, those with limited English skills and people with disabilities are some of these people with barriers. These efforts include both setting standards for serving these customers at WorkSource and leading specific, focused initiatives for targeted populations.
