Request for Qualifications #12-01
The WDC seeks qualifications from multiple training institutions, such as community or technical colleges, 4-year universities, registered apprenticeship programs, and other providers of aerospace and advanced manufacturing training programs, which have the expertise and capacity to quickly implement cohort-based training that helps individuals prepare for and attain jobs in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Technology Trainer: Veterans and Mature Workers
Request for Qualifications #11-06
The WDC seeks to identify and procure a trainer who can work on behalf of the WDC of Seattle-King County to deliver technology training to job seekers in several King County locations. The WDC, with WorkSource has partnered with Microsoft Corporation since 2005 to bring free Unlimited Potential (UP) computer-training courses and Elevate America eLearning courses and certification exams to WorkSource customers. Now, combining technology training resources from Microsoft and the Department of Labor (DOL) this position will target specific populations of job seekers; non active veterans and their spouses and mature workers enrolled in DOL’s Reinvesting in Older Workers (ROW) project.

Both SEED and GreenLight are Recovery Act-funded programs that were recently awarded to our area by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). SEED is funded through an Energy Training Partnership grant, awarded to the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC) with the WDC named as fiscal agent. GreenLight is funded through a Pathways Out of Poverty which was awarded directly to the WDC.“
