The WDC periodically requests proposals or qualifications from the community as part of our commitment and duty to wisely invest our resources. These open and transparent competitions are governed by our procurement policy.

The purpose of this RFQ is to identify photographers and videographers who can work between now and July 2012 to capture images of a variety of subjects for use in WDC communications such as our website, our annual report, and other print and online materials that explain and promote our mission.

Request for Qualifications #10-11

The purpose of this RFQ is to identify and procure a trainer who can work on behalf of the WDC of Seattle-King County to deliver information and communications technology (ICT) workshops to job seekers in various King County locations. This position will expand and deepen current technology training offered to job seekers within the WorkSource system.

Cohort Based Workforce Training In High-Demand Healthcare, Energy Efficiency & Aerospace Occupations

"... The WDC is seeking proposals for health care, aerospace, alternative energy or energy efficiency high-demand occupational training for both the Governor’s ARRA WIA 10% Reserve Fund and Reinvesting in Older Workers projects. The WDC now has a limited opportunity to fund up to five additional class-size training programs at community and technical colleges."

Grant Writers

Request for Qualifications #10-08

"The purpose of this RFQ is to identify and procure grant writing experts to work on behalf of the Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County on an as needed basis.   Applicants selected through this RFQ will be placed on a list of procured grant writing vendors.  WDC staff will reference this list on an as-needed basis to select assistance when working on a variety of public and private funding proposals."

Energy Efficiency Supply Chain Study

"The Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County is seeking proposals for cost-efficient and effective recruitment, case management, job placement and retention services for the Recovery Act-funded State Energy Sector Partnership project. The goal is to provide services to participants enrolled in commercial energy efficiency training programs to improve training completion and employment rates for these individuals."

The WDC is seeking proposals for: case management, training, and employment/industry connections services for both the Sound Energy Efficiency Development (SEED) and GreenLight green-jobs projects.  Both SEED and GreenLight are Recovery Act-funded programs that were recently awarded to our area by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).  SEED is funded through an Energy Training Partnership grant, awarded to the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC) with the WDC named as fiscal agent.  GreenLight is funded through a Pathways Out of Poverty which was awarded directly to the WDC.“
