A majority of WDC's funds are available through the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which was signed by President Obama on July 22, 2014 after passing Congress with broad bipartisan support. WIOA reauthorizes and amends the Workforce Investment Act (1998) through important workforce system reforms, and we are working on the local workforce plan.
