Executive Committee
Chair: Terry Pickering, Viking Bank

Acts on behalf of the full board in all areas except those specified in our bylaws as exclusive to the full board.

Employment Connections Committee
Chair: Gordy Anderson

Develops strategies and oversees operations that connect adult job seekers with education and employment opportunities and open paths to job and wage progression;
Develops and implements strategies that advance workers towards economic independence through financial supports and career and wage progression;
Identifies gaps in services to target populations; leads coordination efforts across public programs and systems; directs “lean” and “quality” system improvements.

Industry Demand Committee
Chair: David Freiboth, Martin Luther King, Jr. County Labor Council, AFL-CIO

Develops and implements strategies that align the region’s workforce supply with industry demand as the foundation for economic growth;
Identifies workforce needs in industry sectors which contribute significantly to regional growth and offer middle-to-high wage jobs with accessible career ladders;
Designs innovative methods to engage low-wage industries/employers in work support and career advancement strategies;
Evaluates and disseminates information on effective job readiness assessments, soft skills training curricula, job matching/referral mechanisms and other business services tools.

Youth Committee
Chair: Jim Jean-Francois, All Star Directories

Develops strategies and oversee operations that prepare in-school and out-of-school youth for the world of work through education, career exploration, skill development and work experience;
Aligns career development activities for youth with identified industry needs and trends;
Engages both K-12 and post-secondary education in efforts to expand access to career education and labor market information to interested students and their parents.

Finance Committee
Chair: Wendy Law-Rudge, Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research
