WorkSource is a system throughout the state that delivers employment
and training services for adults making career transitions—including
dislocated workers—as well as employers. The WDC oversees
and sets the direction of the WorkSource system in Seattle and King
County. WorkSource brings together a variety of government and private
employment services under one roof with an emphasis on career development
for both jobseekers and businesses. Through WorkSource, businesses
and other employers may access a wide variety of workforce-related
services, such as hiring help for job openings, assistance with
worker layoffs, and information about business tax credits and labor
market data.
