The WDC lets the needs of our customers, businesses and employers, drive our resource investments. The WDC, through our WorkSource system and our board initiatives, provides basic services to all employers, including job matching, labor market data, and tax credit information, as well as targeted services to specific industry sectors.

Literacy Works: On-the-Job English Classes, Customized for Your Company

Literacy Works offers flexible, on-site English classes for companies with limited-English-speaking workers. Classes are short-term and high impact, offered on your schedule and customized to the specific needs of the workplace. Transition Assistant and Layoff Support Services of the Seattle-King County Rapid Response Team:

Organized in 1989, the Seattle-King County Rapid Response Team is the locally coordinated, community-wide resource for businesses and employers confronting employee dislocation. The team is comprised of Washington State Employment Security Department, King County Dislocated Worker Program, Community & Technical Colleges, and the Reemployment Support Center, AFL-CIO. The team is available to bring on site and in advance of layoffs a variety of services to assist companies and workers during workforce
reductions.
