Health Work Force Institute The mission of the HWFI, a longtime partner in the WDC's sector efforts, is to strategically develop a sustainable health work force, partner to identify needs and develop programs to recruit, develop and retain health workers.

Washington State Hospital Association This membership organization represents community hospitals and several health-related organizations. The association provides issues management and analysis, information, advocacy and other services.

Washington State Nurses Association As the largest nursing association in Washington State, WSNA represents more than 13,000 RNs, taking a comprehensive, multi-purpose approach to advocating the needs of all registered nurses in all settings.

Health Care Personnel Shortage Task Force The state Workforce Board convened this statewide task force in 2002, issuing a report and periodic updates. The latest update was published in spring 2007.

The Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho Center for Health Workforce Studies – Part of the University of Washington School of Medicine, the center conducts health workforce research and policy analysis in collaboration with federal and state agencies.

Western Washington Area Health Education Center

This nonprofit works to assure equity of and access to health care for underserved populations in western Washington. Its mission includes recruitment into health-care careers and providing education and training opportunities.
